A perfect way to start the New Year is a trip to see Scottish Ballet’s traditional festive production at the Edinburgh Festival Theatre. In 2010 this is The Nutcracker, a firm favourite of The Edinburgh Blog. The Nutcracker runs at the Edinburgh Festival Theatre 6th - 9th January. If you’re a full time student under 26 years old you can grab a great seat on opening night (Wednesday 6th January) for just ÂŁ10, if you turn up at the Festival Theatre’s box office one hour before the performance starts at 7.30pm. Check back in January to see what The Edinburgh Blog thought.
Other 2010 Scottish Ballet dates for the diary at the Edinburgh Festival Theatre include:
- The return of Romeo & Juliet: Wednesday 28th April - Saturday 1st May
- Thursday 23rd September - Saturday 25th September sees a trio of works: Scènes de Ballet by Frederick Ashton, Fearful Symmetries by Ashley Page and New Work by Val Caniparoli
As ever tickets can be booked in advance for The Nutcracker on the Internet or by telephoning the box office on 0131 529 6000.
