If you haven't seen Jonathan Hellyer as Livinia in Slutty Livin' yet then get yourself over to The Pleasance Upstairs at 11pm. Standing ovations every night - should tell you all you need to know - it's filthy, it's funny and his impersonations are AMAZING!

The space outside Ocean Terminal won't be completely empty this year, it will be home to the Mela (along with the Ocean Kitchen and the Vue Cinema at OT). This runs from the 25th to 31st of August, and looks very interesting.

Some good recommendations in here. If you like scary, late-night, gothic stuff, then I'd recommend THE MARGINS over at Venue 45. It's from the same group that scared the crap out of a lot of people with DARK NORTH two years ago. Should be good.

Whilst all mentioned so far sound great I'm surprised to see that you haven't mentioned "Lucky You" @ Assembly Hall- the theatre adaptation of Carl Hiaasen's bestselling novel premieres this summer and is one of the funniest plays at the Fringe! Check out the website for more details

Hey guys,

I've made an interactive Google Map for this year's Edinburgh Fringe Festival - all the venues are featured (or will be soon) and users can add features that are missing. You can easily see where each venue is and it might help when planning where to stay / transport options etc. There's a little box for each venue to get routing instructions too.

http://www.beatsdesign.co.uk/fringe2008/ - I made this as I couldn't find anything similar on the web and I make no money from it (no ads etc!). Take a look if it sounds useful Smile

Immense Productions is seeking the brightest creative talents in the UK to apply to audition for a series of innovative development workshops at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

We are going to apply structured innovation techniques, tried and tested in the business world, to the development of creative content, working with diverse teams of talented, creative and free-thinking individuals. We’re interested in the cross-over between business brains and acting talent in the generation, funding and distribution of great new comedy ideas. If you are interested in this opportunity, please visit our website (www.immenseproductions.co.uk) and fill in the online application form. We don’t need CV’s as we're looking for people with a special mixture of talents and if you've got them we don't mind if you're experienced or not. Similarly we don't mind what you look like or whether you have a nice photograph.

We will select a diverse group of interesting individuals to attend the recruitment auditions taking place in the Edinburgh Fringe Festival from August 11-15th 2008 run by BBC broadcaster and Guardian columnist Guy Browning. A core team will be selected for the first idea generation workshop in Oxford in September which will develop media content using similar techniques to the commercial generation of new product and service ideas.

Applicants should be free for one day between the 11th and 15th of August to take part in the Edinburgh auditions. If selected you need to be free from the 13th to the 17th of September 2008 for the Idea Generator in Oxford.

Michael Barrymore at the opening of the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in Surviving Spike at the Assembly Music Hall George Street Edinburgh on the 31 July 2008. Might be a good one to see as Terry Lubbock father of Stuart Lubbock who was found at the entertainer's home in 2001, plans to be at the opening of the Fringe Festival. Mr Lubbock has continued a campaign to fine the truth about his son Stuart's tragic death. Stuart was found to have horrific internal injuries.
