It's a shame about the salt issue - though I'm partial to a touch of salt on my fish and chips, I don't want it overpowered with the stuff.

That said, I ate at The Shore a couple of weeks ago and had a wonderful lunch. I started with perfectly cooked pigeon breasts, and then hugely enjoyed the pork chop with caramelised apples and duck-fat roasted potatoes I chose for the main - I was in a comfort food mood!

As you said, service throughout was friendly and attentive - though never intrusive - and as a whole I had a lovely dining experience. I'll definitely be back, though after your review I might avoid the fish and chips!
